Holistic Perspectives

Seeing what is, seeing the truth, and not being deceived is one of the most important responsibilities that we have as human beings. To not see what is, is to miss out on the wonderful possibilities of this human existence. Developing a holistic perspective is one of our most important tasks in life.
To acquire a holistic perspective, we must first realize that perspective (the point from which we see our world) is subjective. It is more like an opinion or a belief than it is factual. Our perspectives change as we change. “We see the world not as it is, but as we are.” Just knowing this is significant. We will hold on to our “truths” lightly. We will understand that others see the world differently than we do. Truth, from my perspective, looks much different from your perspective.
If we are to continue this process of growing awareness, it requires an understanding of how personal development occurs. That is what I explore in my book Holistic Perspectives and Integral Theory: On Seeing What Is. You can download the PDF file of the book here for free or buy it on line at Amazon.com.
